Nixon's October Surprise

LBJ called Nixon guilty of treason for his urging of the Saigon regime to cancel peace talks with North Vietnam until after the Nixon-Humphrey election. The result was several more years of war, more than 20,000 US dead and wounded and perhaps a million or more additional Vietnamese deaths. Here's a brief analysis of the recently released taped conversation between LBJ and Senator Everett Dirksen.
